Offering guitar, bass and music theory lessons in Sussex, Surrey and around, I’ve been teaching for 16 years with the sole purpose allowing you to become a better player. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to your chosen instrument or an old hand, I can give you the techniques, skills and above all confidence to get the very most out of it. Classical, rock, pop, music theory, measure your progress in exams (ABRSM or RGT) or get what you need to get out there and play.

Of course, there’s no shortage of online tutorials, videos and info swimming out there, not to mention stacks of chord, scale and songbooks; great resources all of them but where to start?

If, like me, you learn best by doing then face-to-face tuition is where it’s at for you.

Choose what you want to play, how you want to play it and how you want to learn – you’ll find a fun and flexible approach that’s hard to beat and before you know it you’ll be the musician you want to be.

Today’s the day.

“I just wanted to drop you a line to express my thanks for making Rhianna enjoy her guitar lessons and not feel its a chore, and giving her some confidence that she can do it…”

Amanda, Pulborough, West Sussex

“Hello Dan, I wanted to say thank you so much for teaching me guitar and being really helpful and patient….”

Oliver, 14, Stoke D’Abernon, Surrey

“I have been having lessons with Dan for a couple of years now. His style of teaching suits me perfectly, relaxed but very effective, informative and enjoyable.

I am very pleased with my progress thus far and would thoroughly recommend Dan to anyone wanting lessons whether they are a beginner, expert or Hendrix”

Andy Frigot, 42, Thames Ditton

“I would just like to say many thanks for your teaching skills over the last year, Tessa passed her grade one with distinction and loves her guitar, Oliver got his grade two, but really importantly I was pleased with the way you engaged them both and made the lessons fun for them…”

David, Claygate, Surrey

‘I had great fun learning from Dan; my lessons were well structured according to my ability. I’d highly recommend him to any budding guitarist.’

Nigel, 72, Chessington

I have been having guitar lessons with Dan for just over a year now and thanks to his patient tuition and guidance I have learned more than I imagined I would in the time I’ve had.

He has demystified music theory and managed to make it enjoyable to learn! He’s recognised where my strengths are and has steered me down a classical path but manages to mix it up with some pop/folk/rock when I need a change of pace!

I would highly recommend Dan for his patient manner, obvious depth of knowledge and most of all making learning fun!

Helen, Fittleworth, West Sussex
